Stockholm Furniture Fair is a trade fair, which takes place at Stockholm International Fairs in Älvsjö. The fair is the world's biggest meeting place for Nordic design. Here you will find the most comprehensive range of furniture, offices, design, textiles and other interior design for both the home and the public environment. The fair is now considered to be one of the most interesting design fairs in the world.
Stockholm Furniture Fair is organised in partnership with Möbelimportörernas Branschorganisation (the trade association for furniture importers), Sveriges Möbelhandlare (Swedish Federation of Furniture Retailers) and Trä- och Möbelindustriförbundet (Swedish Federation of Wood and Furniture Industry). Northern Light Fair takes place alongside the Furniture Fair.
Stockholm Furniture Fair is an annual fair, which takes place from Tuesday to Saturday, week 6.
Today approximately 650 exhibitors (750 in total together with Northern Light Fair) display their products and get the chance to meet roughly 40,000 visitors, just over 1,050 of whom are journalists or photographers (about 25% come from countries outside Sweden). Some 80% of the visitors come from Sweden and 20% from other parts of the world. The international visitors represent about 50 different countries.
This year's exhibition was the largest ever held in Scandinavia and Stockholm Furniture Fair & Northern Light Fair have consolidated their position as the most important meeting place in the world for Nordic design.
Together with exhibitors and organisers we create well-organised meetings which offer the visitor inspiration, knowledge and business opportunities.
As the leading organiser in the Baltic Sea Region, we organise some 60 industry-leading exhibit-
ions as well as around 100 national and international congresses, conferences and events anually. Every year we welcome 10,000 exhibitors, 1.5 million visitors and more than 8,000 journalists from all over the world.
Stockholmsmässan is situated in the southwest area of Stockholm. The center is located favourably in terms of transport facilities and can be reached either by car, or by public transport. From the central station you can reach the fair-site by commuter train in 9 minutes. From Arlanda Airport, it takes less than an hour by car or by bus.
